Verbs in past tense

Hello everyone! I hope you are all staying safe and keeping well in quarantine ! Today we are going to look at past tense verbs, with particular focus of the verb 'to be.' First we will look at the general rules, and learn some irregular verbs and then put this knowledge to practise by doing some exercises. Here is a basic summary of the past tense, it would be good to copy this into your notebook so you can keep looking back to it as you complete the exercises. Maybe write the verb in Spanish next to the English so you know exactly what it means.   Here are some more common irregular verbs: Now, to try and help you remember what you have learnt about irregulars, try and match the present tense word to the correct form of the past tense. If you can't print it out, just copy the words in your notebook and match them. Ther e are a lot of interesting things to learn about the Romans. Today we are going to see what the Roman Empire was like hundreds of  years ago and what it was like to be a Roman soldier. Today let's learn about the different states of matter! Have you heard of this before? Don't worry if not - here's a video and PowerPoint for you to watch before you do the exercises about the three different states of matter. First of all, watch this video and listen carefully to learn the basics about states of matter. Then watch the video again and find the answers to the questions below. Now answer the following questions, you can write the answers in your notebook. Now look at this PowerPoint to see how states of matter change. Pay attention to the words in bold. Happy Easter Everyon e! It is almost Easter so I thought we could learn about the Easter story and do some activities to help us remember some Easter vocabulary! Do you know any Easter words already in English? Here are some words related to Easter: How much of the Easter story can you remember? Here is a PowerPoint to remind you what happened in the Easter story:                                                Now that you have read the story, use what you have learnt to help you with these activities. N umber 1: put the pictures in the correct order using the days of the week to help you and number 2: match the picture and sentence to the correct day to describe what happened in the Easter story. Now that you know the story, here are some fun activities to do. Look through them and choose which one you would like to do, try and do the ones that are most suited to your level!
