Natural Science - States of Matter

Hello Everyone! I hope you all had a good Easter break despite the circumstances! Did anyone do any fun activities in their house for Easter weekend?

Today let's learn about the different states of matter!

Have you heard of this before? Don't worry if not - here's a video and PowerPoint for you to watch before you do the exercises about the three different states of matter.

First of all, watch this video and listen carefully to learn the basics about states of matter. Then watch the video again and find the answers to the questions below.

Now answer the following questions, you can write the answers in your notebook.

Now look at this PowerPoint to see how states of matter change. Pay attention to the words in bold. Write the bold words in your notebook and write the Spanish translation beside them.

In the following task you will listen to and read 3 clues for each round. Once you have heard and read the 3 clues, you have to decide if these are descriptions of a solid, liquid or a gas. Write your answer down in your notebook and then check your answer after each one.

Now that you know exactly what solids, liquids and gases are do this task and sort the pictures into the correct category!

First and second grade - you can look at the PowerPoint but you might also enjoy listening to this song!
