Social Science - Ancient Romans and Rome

I hope you are all well and managing to entertain yourselves during quarantine!
This week is all about Ancient Rome and the Romans! Have you ever studied this? There are a lot of interesting things to learn about the Romans. Today we are going to see what the Roman Empire was like hundreds of years ago and what it was like to be a Roman soldier.
To get started, watch this video to learn about the Roman Empire - when it began, what society was like and what the Romans did until the year the empire ended. Once you have watched it, answer the questions below. You can watch the video as many times as you like, being careful to listen out for the answers!
This is a colour by number task but with a twist. The numbers are in roman numerals which is the way that the Romans used to write their numbers. You have to find which symbol means which number using the chart below and then choose which drawing you would like to colour in, or do all 3!
Here are the questions. After you have answered all the questions, use the answers to see how many you got correct!
